Snapshots of Ladies Brunch

Our ladies brunch has been so encouraging and uplifting. We have had about 21-25 ladies show up to this event on the Third Saturday of every month. This is a time of fellowship, sharing, praying and a devotional time by the host.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says,"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact y are doing." As we meet as a group of ladies our hearts are so encouraged by one another and by His Word.

1 Peter 4:8-10 says, "Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." Our ladies at Antioch have been living out this verse whether they know it or not. We strive to serve one another in love. I personally look forward to this time every month. Below are a few snapshots of one of our recent times together as a ladies group.

Ladies Prayer Brunch

This past Saturday, Karen Woodall opened up her home and hosted our Ladies brunch. She is pictured here with her maid and friend. We had a small group of ladies this month, but what an encouraging and uplifting time we had. We were given a wonderful breakfast to start off with and what wonderful service throughout the entire afternoon. Karen shared what God has been doing in her life and the miracles that she is witnessing first hand from him. We then went into an encouraging discussion of just how good our God is and how He sees us through trials in our lives. We keep things very private during our ladies time together, so I won't go into detail about what we shared, but it was so good! Below are some photo's from our day together.

Karen set a beautiful table for us to enjoy!

Ladies Prayer Brunch

On Saturday, the ladies of Antioch met at Patricia Baum's home for our monthly prayer brunch.
The weather was perfect for an outdoor gathering that overlooked the golf course. We had a great time of fellowship, and the food she provided was wonderful. We had two guests come and be apart of this day. After we ate, we met indoors for our prayer time. We all shared from our hearts the things that we would like God to work through. Below are some photo's from our day together.

We meet every third Saturday of the month in different homes. The ladies look forward to this time. I know I do. It's a time of refreshment and encouragement to our hearts.

Ladies prayer brunch

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.

That was our key verse for our ladies brunch on Saturday. I told a little story about hope, and shared a few scripture verses. Below is that story and the verses.
I heard a story about a man who was imprisoned during Napoleons reign. While sulking in his dungeon one day, he etched on the wall the words “Nobody Cares”. A few weeks later, through a crack in the dungeon floor, a little green shoot sprang forth, reaching toward the tiny ray of sunlight that came from his small prison cell window. The prisoner began giving a portion of his daily water to the little shoot and it began to grow. One morning the man awoke to a beautiful flower. A tear rolling down his face, he crossed out the words, “Nobody Cares” and replaced them with “God Cares.”
The story goes on to tell that His devotion to the flower was reported to the Empress Josephine. She was so very moved that she convinced Napoleon to set the man free. How many times do we feel like “Nobody Cares”? God has planted little shoots of hope in each and every one of our difficult circumstances — Perhaps we’re stepping on them, not even noticing they exist. Perhaps we’re pulling the shoots before they spring forth into beautiful flowers. God wants us to be released from our prisons of despair. Look around! See what God has planted since the beginning of time especially for us today. Be encouraged! There’s so much work to be done!
HOPE: Because God is working on your behalf. In all things God works for the good of those who love Him. ROMANS 8:28 JOY: Because God has a plan for you.“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “…plans to give you hope and a future.” JEREMIAH 29:11 PEACE: Because God will be wherever you go. I am with you always. MATTHEW 28:20 LOVE : Because God deeply cares for you.How wide and long and deep and high is the love of Christ. EPHESIANS 3:18 STRENGTH: Because God gives you everything you need. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. PHILLIPIANS 4:13 CONFIDENCE: Because God made you who you are. God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. GENESIS 1:31 COURAGE: Because God can do more than you can imagine! With God all things are possible. MATTHEW 19:26
We had a wonderful morning together. Our prayer time was sweet. I'm blessed to be around such wonderful ladies who love the Lord. Here are a few snapshots from our morning together.

April Ladies Prayer Brunch

Our ladies prayer brunch was hosted by Sue Tabet. We had a wonderful fellowship time. Sue shared a story that touched our hearts. I will give a short version. A family was given a bag of seeds to plant a crop with. Insted of planting them into the ground, they ate the seeds when they became hungry. We as Christians, sometimes eat our seeds instead of planting them in the lives of others. It was very touching and spoke to each of our hearts. We shared, prayed and had a sweet time in the Lord with one another. We are so blessed to have a wonderful group of ladies that attend Antioch. Below is a picture of Sue and our morning together.

Antioch Ladies Prayer Brunch - Hosted by Adina, Kelley and Natalie

Our ladies prayer brunch was hosted by our missionary interns, Adina, Kelley and Natalie. Kristin Hayes and her family were visiting from GCM and she helped the girls too. We had a wonderful array of goodies. After the breakfast, we had a time of devotions and just a sweet sharing time amongst the ladies. Each of the girls shared a small devotion, scripture and how God was working in their lives. Brandy shared a thought for the day with us:
I have great worth apart from my performance because Christ gave His life for me, and therefore, imparted vaule to me. I am deeply loved, fully pleasing, totally forgiven, accepted and complete in Christ.
Our ladies group is growing and God is using this time to bond us together. God is so good! Here are a few shots from the day.

Antioch Ladies Prayer Brunch

Psalm 32:7 was our key verse for our ladies brunch in February. I hosted the ladies brunch at our house this month. It was a great time with the ladies. We ate and fellowshiped and then I shared a devotion on strongholds. It was titled, "Weak places/strong places." It was mainly on how God understands our weak places, and there is a reason for them. Things in our lives may not be sufficient, but God's grace is sufficient for His power is made perfect in weakness. (2Corinthians 12:9) We had a wonderful time of sharing and prayer time. Here are a few pictures of the morning. We were so much into talking and sharing that I really didn't get many photo's. Our next prayer breakfast in March 19th.

Our group: Karen, Stephanie, Ellen, Brandy, Annette, Kelley, Natalie, Sara, Dorothy and Adina

Ladies Prayer Breakfast

Encourage One Another And Build Each Other Up!

We had such a wonderful time together this month at Brandy's home. We prayed together as a group, for each other, and for the person we pray for all month long. It was such a sweet time of fellowship. Brandy has a beautiful home and is such a wonderful hostess. Here are just a few pictures from the day.

Hanging out talking before prayer time.

The beautiful table that was set for us.

I love this time of the month, where we can get together as ladies and encourage one another in the Lord. It is an uplifting time and it truly is a blessing to all who come. I will be posting most of these events each month.
