On Thursday, Scott and I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful, colonial city of Guanajuato. Gordon and Muriel Logan invited us to to go with them. Here is a link for more information on this city in Mexico. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guanajuato,_Guanajuato
It is know as the city of the frogs, but I can say that I didn't see any that day. There is so much charm to this city...it is breathtaking! It is only about and hour or so from San Miguel. There is so much to experience there, but my favorite part is just walking the streets, taking in the beautiful buildings and watching the people. We were blessed with a warm, sunny day and we did just that...walked and admired the city. Below are a few pictures of our amazing day out. We enjoyed our fellowship time with the Logans. Gordon and Muriel attend our church and we are thankful for their love and support. Enjoy the photos and then click on the link to learn more about Guanajuato.

Another picture with Scott. We had a wonderful
lunch outside. This is very common here and there

After we visited Guanajuato we went to another city, Dolores Hidalgo. It was on the way home and we stopped to admire the handmade pottery that the city is noted for. It is also a place that is famous for their homemade icecream. They have any flavor you want and then some. Of course we had to taste test some...so good! Here is a link for Dolores Hidalgo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolores_Hidalgo
There is a lot of very interesting history in these two cities. We learned so much about the Mexican culture. We had a great day!
