Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
Koinonia is a Greek word meaning "fellowship, sharing in common, communion". Here at Antioch we give many ways to fellowship and share in Koinonia.
Scott and I believe in fellowship with other believers and it is what binds us together. Since Christmas, we have had some special times in our home and around San Miguel.
We kicked off our 2014 Prayer walk in January with several of our members. We always meet up at the Jardin the fourth Thursday of the month. This past prayer walk we met Juan. He saw that we were praying and he asked if he could join us and to pray for his sister. He was such a sweet man, and afterwards he played us a Christian song. Here is a snapshot of Juan. God is doing amazing things here in the body of Antioch. We look forward to this time together to lift up and glorify our Lord together in our community.
We met again for a "big game fellowship" in our home. Everyone brought some finger-food snacks and we had the best time together. We opened in prayer and then the fellowship took place. Although the game wasn't that good, the Koinonia was wonderful!
We continue to meet every Wednesday evening for bible study. The ladies are meeting once a month for prayer brunch and the guys meet every week at Café Monet for breakfast. The past couple of weeks the guys are having anywhere between 12-15 guys at the table. Our Sunday service is growing and at our last weeks Antioch Family Meeting was the best ever attended meeting we have had.
Antioch is Family! We are one big family! The bible says that we are brothers and sister in Christ and we are putting that into practice. It is so encouraging to know that we have others who love and care for us. We need that - we all need that.
We look forward to all that God has in store for 2014 here in San Miguel. If you are visiting San Miguel, Mexico. Check out our website and come be apart of our family.
