Our Ministry in San Miguel, Mexico.

We would like to introduce you to our ministry here in Mexico. In February 2009, GCM sent a team of seven young adults down to San Miguel, Mexico to plant an English speaking Church. Antioch Bible Community began meeting in early March 2009 and has been meeting each Sunday since. It is a prayer of Antioch to be a Church where God is exalted in Worship and teaching of God's word, a Church where people feel welcomed and hear the Good News of the Gospel and where people get saved, fall in love with Jesus Christ and serve Him with their lives!
After these seven young adults served for a year and started making their seperate ways home, they began asking the Lord to provide leadership for the Church. After some very supernatural events the Lord connected us to Great Commandments Ministries (GCM). You can read the story under the label section "Our story".
We are serving the Lord as Missionaries at Antioch Community OutReach. Scott is the Primary teaching Elder. We are an English speaking Church. We are meeting at Hotel Imperio de Angeles in San Miguel on Sundays at 10:30 a.m., and we have a Wednesday night Bible study at our home. We started a youth group where young adults can meet, have fun and learn about God. The men meet on Thursday's and the ladies once a month for prayer breakfast. We have done some outreach to the Mexican community. We are seeking God and His leading in putting other ministries into place.
This is where we meet for Church on Sunday's. This was taken
before anyone arrived for service.
These are just a few of the members of Antioch. This picture
was taken the night we arrived in San Miguel.
San Miguel de Allende is the "Philadelphia" of Mexico; the location of Mexico's independence. But what is not widely known about the Colonial city of 110,000 is that approximately fifteen percent are Americans. They come from all over for many different reasons. Some just to live out their retirement years, others who want to follow their creative muses -- painting and writing. And others in "search for the truth" in one of the many cults or "alternative" religions available to them in San Miguel. What was noticeably missing was a dynamic body of English speaking believers who love Jesus and are fully devoted to His word, worship and serving. That is what Antioch Bible Community is here for. To reach the English speaking population with the love of Jesus. Scott and I are very excited to see how God will work here in San Miguel. It is our hearts desire to see souls saved and brought into the kingdom of God. We know that God led us to this wonderful community. Please pray for us as we move forward with God'a will and the building of His Church.
